So, I know height is an issue for many women. Because I have too much time on my hands and I really enjoyed making a graph, I decided to track the height of 100 men. All completely random. There was no rhyme or reason to my clicking. Yes, I know. I need a life.
I always wanted somebody that was OVER 6’0″ and by looking at my chart…that narrows it down to 20 men! That’s crazy. I then changed standard to 5’9.” Thats a major change. I’m proud of myself. That brought up the number to 72. That’s pretty good.
Anyways, here’s my chart.
I’m hoping this will help women put the height requirements into perspective.
I’m definitely lucky to have found someone taller than me; he makes me feel petite and I’m not small!
I don’t have a preference. I used to want a tall man. Then I realized that I’d much rather have someone who wants to be with me, regardless of his height. My best relationships have been with men around 5’9 and shorter. Not that has to do with height at all, just a random thing for me. So don’t let height be a deal breaker!
well, obviously i’d rather be with somebody that wants to be with me LOL. I wouldn’t want to be with somebody that doesn’t want that.
But I will also not be with somebody that’s way too short because it makes me extremely uncomfortable. So there is a certain height that is a deal breaker…but I’ve definitely lowered my height requirements over the past few months. I won’t lower it anymore than I have though. 5’8″ is the shortest I’ll go.
I’m rather short- five two, and I’m attracted to guys who are 5′ 11″ and taller, though I prefer six foot tall guys. I want to feel safe and secure and plus I think it’s romantically to be swept off your feet. Metaphorically and literally.
As a tall man, (6’3″) I’ve recently(this week) come to the realization that I’m rejecting a good deal of great potential girls online because they are “too short”. My “ideal” height for a woman has been 5’6″ or taller, with a frequent attraction to any rare Amazons who are at my eye level.
While I enjoy the thrill of “sweeping a woman off her feet” as Audrey put it, it does make it difficult to do things like offer an arm to escort, as well as bending over(or picking up) to kiss.
Personally, I’m going to stop looking at the height as a dealbreaker. If I really like her, I’ll make sure she’s always uphill.
Oh wow! It’s always nice to hear a guy’s perspective. Thanks for your comment 🙂
I have lowered my height requirements for guys but I haven’t eliminated it completely. The guy has to at least be a couple inches taller than me. Which doesn’t seem like a lot to ask but apparently it is LOL.
All we can do is hope for the best! 😀
First, I love your blog. Someone out there going through the same things as me! Second, height is a major requirement for me. I’m 5’11” tall, and the guys who are messaging me at 5’7′ and 5’6” don’t even get a message back. I just can’t do it, because I am so dang tall (and wear heels like it is no one’s business). 🙂
thanks so much for following along! Oh man, 5’11’?? I can’t even imagine how hard it is for you! Like you, I also like to wear heels. I’m barely 5’5″, if I was with somebody that’s 5’6″ and wear 5″ heels (which is often)…I’d still be taller than him! It’s awkward. I don’t like it. I’m glad you understand! 😀
